A business center is planned to be created by an investor on the site of the former vocational school in Vitebsk

A domestic investor plans to create an office and business center on the basis of the unused complex of buildings of the former vocational school in Vitebsk, which he acquired today for Br442.1 thousand as a result of an auction organized by the Vitebskoblimushchestvo fund, the fund reported.

The subject of the auction became the most expensive lot (initial sale price - almost Br1.4 million) during the trading at the Vitebskoblimushchestvo fund. A buyer was attracted only on the seventh attempt, when the starting price was reduced by 80% to Br421 thousand. Since only one participant showed interest in the buildings, the auction was declared invalid, and the sole bidder agreed to purchase the buildings at this price, increased by 5%.

The special significance of the fact of bringing real estate into circulation is given by the fact that the object is located in close proximity to Victory Square in the central part of the regional center. The lot includes buildings and structures with a total area of almost 6 thousand sq.m, including a four-story educational building with an extension, a two-story building of workshops and a club, a garage, and engineering infrastructure. This complex of capital buildings of the former vocational school No. 57 was built in the early 1960s, and has not been used since 2009. A land plot of about 0.4 hectares for servicing the real estate was sold for a 25-year lease.

Since the beginning of the year, the Vitebskoblimushchestvo fund has sold almost 80 real estate objects at auctions for a total amount of over Br1.7 million, of which about half of the structures were sold at auction for one basic unit (Br23).
