Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces celebrated in Vitebsk

The Day of Airborne Forces and Special Operations Forces, and the 90th anniversary of the Airborne Forces and Special Operations Forces, were widely celebrated on August 2nd at the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade. The event began with laying flowers at the paratrooper monument. Returning to the brigade along Lenin Street and Frunze Avenue, soldiers and veterans performed marching songs. The program continued with a rally at the brigade. Then, the military orchestra performed for the guests, paratroopers staged a demonstration of storming a building, and showcased parachute jumps. Combat episodes from the Great Patriotic War and the military conflict in Afghanistan were reconstructed. Those interested could familiarize themselves with samples of uniforms and weapons, and test their skills in overcoming an obstacle course.
