The Day of the State Emblem and the State Flag was celebrated in Vitebsk with a sports run and a rally
Belarus celebrated the Day of the State Emblem and the State Flag. In Vitebsk, a sports run was held along Moskovsky Prospekt to mark the holiday. Athletes carried a flag and a torch lit from the Eternal Flame at the memorial complex in honor of Soviet soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters.
A rally was held at the "Order of Victory" memorial sign near PSU named after P. Masherov, with the participation of representatives of authorities, veterans, work collectives, public organizations, and educational institutions.
Chairman of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies Vladimir Beleevich congratulated the attendees on the holiday. Creative student groups performed several musical pieces.
