The Day of Russian Culture opens the national days of cultures at the XXI International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" today, reports a BELTA correspondent. The world-renowned ensemble, the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble, will perform at the international forum. In late February 2012, the ensemble celebrated its 75th anniversary. The gala concert program includes works staged by Moiseyev in different periods of his creative work, which have become world classics. Among them is the Belarusian dance "Bulba" - one of Moiseyev's first productions, which is still enthusiastically received worldwide. The ensemble's repertoire also includes other Belarusian dances - "Kryzhachok", "Lavonikha", "Yurochka". And the characters of the Jewish suite "Family Joys" were conceived by Igor Moiseyev under the impression of Sholem Aleichem's Kasrilovka and the Vitebsk outskirts of Marc Chagall. The repertoire of the Moiseyev ensemble, which includes dances of the peoples of the world, perfectly matches the main idea of the festival "Through Art - to Peace and Mutual Understanding". This ensemble stood at the origins of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival - in 1992, the Igor Moiseyev ensemble performed at the first "Slavianski Bazaar" festival. Before their performance on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater, the leaders and dancers of the ensemble will meet with journalists at the "Star Hour" - a traditional festival press conference. Concerts by Leonid Serebrennikov are scheduled for this day, who will present a meeting with Russian romance to the audience at the Regional Philharmonic. Boris Moiseyev will present his new album at the concert "Dance in White". For young people, a disco will be held on Pobedy Square with the participation of DJs from Italy and Russia popular among teenagers. Friday the 13th, although considered not the luckiest date, will undoubtedly become a happy day for some participants of the pop song performers competition. Because on this day, the participants' draw will take place.
