Denis Vershenko changed the competition song for "Vitebsk-2010"
June 22, Minsk / Tatyana Pastushenko - BELTA /. Denis Vershchenko, a soloist of the Gomel Regional Philharmonic Society, who is preparing to represent Belarus at the XIX International Pop Song Performers Contest "Vitebsk-2010", has changed one of his competition compositions. He told a BELTA correspondent about this in an interview.
It was planned that Denis would perform the songs "Molitva" accompanied by the National Concert Orchestra of Belarus under the direction of Mikhail Finberg and "Dzyakuy, што была" at the contest. But the young artist's plans unexpectedly changed, and he abandoned the latter composition in favor of another called "P'tshki".
"I really like the new song. I generally like performing songs in a rock arrangement, where the music is clearly audible, where there is a strong literary text," Denis said.
The performer and his team have already completed work on a music video for the song "Molitva", the filming of which took place at the Halch estate in the Gomel region. As Denis noted, there are different opinions about this video, but neither his creative team nor professionals have spoken critically about it. "There is no plot as such in the video, I just sing the song, thereby addressing God, against the backdrop of the estate ruins," the contestant said. The start date for the video rotation will be set by the organizers of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk".
Denis Vershchenko has heard a lot about the professionalism of other participants of "Vitebsk-2010", but he is setting himself up for victory. He is already familiar with the representatives of Macedonia and Romania, but he does not track information about competitors on the Internet: Denis is not interested in it. "They can write anything, so instead of drawing the wrong conclusion, it's better to hear the vocalists of the contestants first," the artist said. Now he still does not feel nervous and believes that one should worry a few hours before the competition, and all the other time should be spent working hard.
The 23-year-old performer has experience performing on concert and competition stages, and has won awards at international creative competitions. Denis Vershchenko is the winner of the Grand Prix of the international competition "Slavic Star-2006", and a laureate of the competitions "Velizh-2008" and "Na vysokoy volne" in 2009, which are held in Russia.
The XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 9 to 15. During the festival, the IX International Pop Song Performers Contest "Vitebsk-2010" and the VIII International Children's Music Contest "Vitebsk-2010" will take place. -0-
