March 29, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The flooding of the bridge has deprived the village of Ulyanovka in Beshenkovichi district of direct communication, the press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Marina Fando told a BELTA correspondent.
The road bridge across the Ulla River, built in 1960, with a length of 80 m and a width of 4 m, is the only direct access to the village of Ulyanovka. As of March 28, the water level above it was more than half a meter. According to observations from previous years, the flooding of this strategically important facility for the settlement may last up to 17 days.
There are 31 residential buildings in the village, inhabited by 63 people. During the extreme situation, they will have to use a detour road through the village of Balbinovo, Ushachi district, which is 23 km long. In addition, to ensure the normal life of local residents, all emergency services have been informed about the adverse conditions, including the Beshenkovichi consumer cooperative, which is already organizing the arrival of a mobile shop in Ulyanovka today. -0-
