Honor for labor is the basis of the life of our state, emphasized the chairman of the regional council. It is thanks to the working people that the region achieves success and real victories. Today, when we have to solve issues of expanding sales markets, modernizing production, and producing competitive high-tech products, initiative and innovation are especially valued. Every resident of the region has a place to apply their talents and abilities, Alexander Atyasov is confident. This year, the region has taken on increased commitments to increase industrial production output by a quarter, increase exports by one and a half times, build 850 thousand square meters of housing, and harvest 1.5 million tons of grain. In addition, work has begun in the region on the concept of programs for industrial production, agriculture, rural development, and a number of others. But without quality work and effective management, the plans will remain mere wishes, noted the head of the regional council. "People, our golden fund, always ensure the result," emphasized Alexander Atyasov. It is no coincidence that the solemn ceremony of honoring the winners of the competition is held on the eve of an important spring holiday - May 1. In addition, the main spring holiday - May 9 - is approaching, and in the year of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory, today's event is a kind of labor report to the winners of that war, believes the chairman of the regional council. 10 enterprises and organizations have been inscribed on the Vitebsk Region Honor Board: ZAO "Medical Enterprise "Simurg", Vitebsk Sanitary Ware Plant - a branch of ZAO "Trust Belsantekhmontazh No. 1", design enterprise "Institute Vitebskgrazhdanproekt", communal trade enterprise "Basis" (Novopolotsk), Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University, Vitebsk branch of the Higher State College of Communications and Gymnasium No. 8 of Vitebsk, Center for Culture "Vitebsk", Vitebsk Sports Palace - a branch of the sports institution "Vitebsk Hockey Club", Novopolotsk Central District Hospital. 17 enterprises and organizations were recognized as winners of the competition in the regional center, including RUPP "Vitebskhlebprom", SZAO "Firma "Omega", RUPP "Vitebsky Rassvet", OAO "Zhilstroy", Gymnasiums No. 1 and No. 5, Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov, Vitebsk City Clinical Emergency Hospital, Vitebsk Central Sports Complex. All winners were presented with certificates of honor for being inscribed on the Honor Board, and they were also awarded cash prizes in the amount of 100 basic units.
