"For the Children of Vitebsk Region": What do enterprises of the Vitebsk region produce for the younger generation?
Children bring joy to a family, but they are also the object of significant financial investment. Parents strive to give their child the best: to feed them deliciously and nutritiously, to dress them in beautiful and comfortable clothes. The state also cares about the well-being of the younger generation. The subprogram "For the Children of Vitebsk Region" of the Regional Program for Innovative and Investment Development for 2011-2015 has been developed and is being implemented in the region. A correspondent of "VV" inquired about what has been done to date to provide the younger generation with everything they need.
"One of the priority areas in the development of consumer goods production in the Vitebsk region is the organization of production of goods for children. The creation of an effective production at a modern technical level is one of the goals of the subprogram. The plan for 2011-2014 provides for 9 measures, which will be allocated 50 billion rubles. A total of 171.4 billion rubles have been mastered since the project began. The work done by organizations in the region testifies to the effectiveness of the subprogram "For the Children of Vitebsk Region", and the implementation of investment projects provided for by it will be continued in the future," says Zhanna Sharando, Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee, Head of the Industry Department.
For the children's table
The Vitebsk Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant and the Orsha Meat Canning Plant became the platform for implementing the subprogram measures aimed at providing the region's residents with food products for children. In particular, the enterprise in Novka has mastered the production of innovative and import-substituting products. In February of last year, after reconstruction, a workshop for the production of vegetable-meat and vegetable-fish canned food for baby food in glass containers was commissioned. Since the commissioning of the workshop, 365 tubes worth 6 billion rubles have been produced.
Also, after reconstruction, the workshop for the production of meat-based canned food for baby food at the Orsha Meat Canning Plant is operating (Vitebskiye Vesti wrote about this in detail in July and September 2014). About 160 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. The commissioning of the workshop will increase the capacity for canned food production to 10 million conventional cans per year.
To make the suit fit
The subprogram "Children of Vitebsk Region" also includes providing the younger generation with quality clothing – knitwear and sewn products. A number of enterprises are working to fulfill these tasks. For example, OJSC "Trud-Vitebsk" purchased computer equipment for the development of technological processes, sewing, cutting, and wet-heat treatment equipment worth 236 million rubles. SP "Dynamo Program Orsha" LLC, CJSC "Orsha Production and Trade Firm "Svitanak"installed new sewing equipment worth 3.3 billion rubles at their own expense. SOOO "Marko" allocated 1.7 billion rubles for technical re-equipment.
One of the subprogram's executors is KUPP "Vitebchanka". Its task is to technically re-equip production to expand the range of children's products. 200 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes. In total, during the subprogram's implementation, the total volume of products manufactured is estimated at approximately 60 billion rubles. A new collection of children's outerwear has been developed for the new season.
– Modern design, bright colors combined with high-quality materials that are waterproof, windproof, and retain their properties even after numerous washes, will be duly appreciated by customers, – believes Deputy Director for Commercial Affairs Natalia Uronich. – A unique 2-in-1 jumpsuit model has been created for the little ones. A down-filled lining is attached to the main part, and by detaching it, you can get a demi-season set. Thus, by purchasing just one item, practical parents provide their child with both winter and spring-autumn outerwear simultaneously.
The experimental group is also actively preparing for the summer of 2015. New models have been developed, and fabric coupons have been obtained for sewing clothing samples, which, after approval by the art council, will be launched into mass production. New items will appear in retail outlets as early as spring, so Vitebsk children will not be left without new clothes.
