The children's ensemble "Yegoza" from Vitebsk received an invitation to a festival in Macedonia
October 1, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The children's exemplary dance ensemble "Yegoza" of the "Vitebsk" Culture Center has received an invitation to the international folklore festival "Istibansko Zdravozhivo-2013", the Culture Center informed a BELTA correspondent.
The invitation was based on the spectacular performance of the young dancers at the current 27th international folklore festival "Istibansko Zdravozhivo-2012", which recently concluded in Macedonia. Collectives from Bulgaria, Russia, Romania, Serbia, and Croatia came to the folklore festival. Over the week, guests got acquainted with the national choreography of the participating countries, which demonstrated the most beautiful and exemplary performances. Vitebsk's "Yegoza" captivated the audience with Belarusian folk dances "Karagod", "Kryzhachok", "Lyulechka", "Perepolokh". As noted by the head of the dance ensemble, Lyudmila Samsonova, the collective felt special attention and keen interest in the culture of Belarus.
The dance ensemble "Yegoza" was created in September 1997 at the "Vitebsk" Culture Center. The ensemble includes over one hundred children aged 5 to 18 years.
The ensemble actively participates in city, regional events and events of the "Vitebsk" Culture Center, and has repeatedly performed at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival.
