A children's technopark is planned to be created in Orsha on the basis of an IT academy

A children's technopark is planned to be established in Orsha on the basis of the "Kompas" IT Academy, the education, sports and tourism department of the Orsha District Executive Committee reported.

The IT Academy was opened in Orsha in 2016 with the support of resident companies of the Hi-Tech Park as a center for training teachers and students in programming using Scratch and computer graphics. At the academy, children engage in project and research activities related to the use of information and communication technologies. Robotics classes are organized here. The academy operates on the basis of the institution of additional education "Orsha District Center for Technical Creativity of Children and Youth".

"A meeting with the management of the Hi-Tech Park is scheduled to take place in the near future, where the format for the further development of our IT Academy will be determined. It is planned to expand activities by creating various laboratories, including 3D modeling, typography, and a digital laboratory. There are also plans to expand the robotics laboratory. Once the plans are realized, close cooperation with enterprises can be established - manufacturers will give us technical tasks, and we will be able to implement them," the department said.

The expansion of activities through the creation of new laboratories will contribute to the academy gaining greater practical significance. Career guidance will be strengthened - children will engage in programming more specifically, and will be able to choose an area of activity that is most interesting to them.
