"Detskoselsky-Gorodok" was the first in Belarus to master the Dutch technology of dairy farming

March 22, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Foreign private unitary agricultural production enterprise "Detskoselsky-Gorodok" has become the first in Belarus to adopt Dutch dairy farming technology, its director Sergey Ustimenko told a BELTA correspondent. At its branch, the "Virovlyansky" enterprise (Gorodok district), a dairy complex for 1.2 thousand head of dairy herd is under construction, with a daily milk production of 30 tons. The facility is being built using European technologies from heat-insulating sandwich panels. The manure removal system was developed in the Netherlands and is environmentally safe. Livestock keeping will also be carried out according to the Dutch method, which requires strict adherence to housing, feeding, and milking conditions. For example, a cow's diet is compiled based on biochemical blood analysis, animals drink only warm water, are kept loose, and are milked three times a day. The first stage of the complex, a farm for 600 head, has been operating under the foreign technology for a whole year. Here, 19.6 liters of milk are obtained per cow per day, which is more than double the average for the region. The milk quality is rated as extra. At the same time, according to Sergey Ustimenko, 90% of the dairy herd consists of animals that were previously at the old farms of the former agricultural production cooperative "Virovlyansky," and domestic producer "Ekomol" (Orsha district) is involved in feed production. The complex will be fully commissioned by the end of the current year, but specialists are already coming from other regions of the country to learn from their experience. The total investment in the new complex will exceed Br30 billion. About a third of this amount is invested by the Russian investor, the agro-industrial concern "Detskoselsky," and the rest is credit resources, including preferential ones provided by Belarusian legislation for domestic agricultural producers. As Sergey Ustimenko emphasized, despite "Detskoselsky-Gorodok" being a foreign enterprise, it receives the same preferences as Belarusian farmers. Foreign private unitary agricultural production enterprise "Detskoselsky-Gorodok" is part of the agro-industrial concern "Detskoselsky." The enterprise was registered in the Vitebsk region in 2007. It is engaged in the production and wholesale trade of agricultural products. It has a wholesale and logistics center for processing and storing potatoes and vegetables. The agro-industrial concern "Detskoselsky" is one of the largest agricultural producers in the Northwestern region of Russia. It includes more than two dozen enterprises in the Leningrad and Voronezh regions of the Russian Federation and in CIS countries. The concern's structure includes agro-complexes, processing plants, trading houses (including a Russian-Belarusian one), and a retail chain.-0-
