On the eve of the jubilee XX International Festival of Arts, the producer, director, Honored Artist of Belarus received the award for the development of international relations and his immense contribution to the development of the famous festival. From the stage of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre, where the solemn ceremony of honoring took place, Rodion Bass sincerely thanked his colleagues with whom he has been preparing and holding the festival for many years. He admitted that this award also belongs to them. "Thank you to everyone who respects our profession, which is not easy, but so necessary for people," he said, not hiding his emotion. The honorary title "Person of the Year of the Vitebsk Region" was awarded to 100 residents of the Vitebsk region. They were encouraged for their significant personal contribution to the socio-economic development of the region, for successful and selfless actions to save people, ensure legality and law and order, high achievements in science, education, culture, sports, active civic position and public activities, as well as for other achievements that have brought fame to the Vitebsk region and have received public recognition.
