The director of one of Vitebsk firms evaded taxes totaling over Br800 million.
January 4, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The director of one of Vitebsk firms evaded taxes totaling over Br800 million, Valery Buchminsky, senior investigator of the preliminary investigation department of the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee for the Vitebsk region, told a BELTA correspondent.
From 2008 to June 2010, the director of one of the private unitary trading enterprises (PUTE) in the regional center, who was engaged in the sale of mobile phones, sold new devices as if they were accepted on commission from individuals. Thanks to this, the head paid significantly less tax on the goods sold. Over 2.5 years, he thus evaded taxes totaling over Br800 million.
Another director of a PUTE used a similar gray scheme for a long time. His debt amounted to over Br200 million.
For tax evasion and fees in particularly large amounts, criminal cases have been initiated against the heads under Article 243, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, which provides for up to seven years of imprisonment with possible confiscation of property. In addition, mobile phones worth almost Br21 million were seized from them. An investigation is underway. -0-
