A new residential building with comfortable rooms, including for people with disabilities, has opened at the "Lettsy" sanatorium.

The director of the sanatorium, Alexey Moiseichenko, said that the reconstruction of the building, built in 1969, began in 2019. When designing, the sanatorium management primarily took into account the wishes of patients who vacationed there. They wanted to see comfortable rooms, wide and spacious balconies, and convenient bathrooms. "Since we have elderly patients, a lift was installed to make it convenient for them to move between floors. Currently, the fifth building has 65 rooms, including "Comfort Plus" categories for families with young children and "Comfort" series rooms," said the head of the institution.
Also, two rooms for wheelchair users were located on the first floor of the building, and an accessible environment was created for people with weakened health. In the new building, vacationers have access to a fitness room with exercise equipment and a self-service laundry, where anyone can tidy up their clothes.
The cost of construction and installation work amounted to Br4.3 million.

Both Belarusians and guests from abroad come to "Lettsy" to vacation and improve their health. The sanatorium's proximity to Vitebsk makes it particularly attractive during the international arts festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk," and a large number of vouchers to the sanatorium have already been reserved for the upcoming summer.
"This new building will not only allow us to earn more, as sanatoriums are typically non-profit projects, but will also help preserve and enhance health, and form a healthy society," noted the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, at the opening of the facility.
