To develop the Orsha district, it is necessary to solve the problem of inefficiently used areas - Vladimir Zinovsky

To develop the Orsha region, it is necessary to solve the problem of inefficiently used areas. This was stated to journalists by the Minister of Economy Vladimir Zinovsky at a field meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers on the development of the Orsha region.

"We need to strive for compactness; maintaining large enterprise territories is costly. To reduce the cost of new products, it is necessary to get rid of inefficiently used areas by transferring them to small businesses. Alternatively, a regional economic development plan should be adopted that would determine how to utilize these areas," believes Vladimir Zinovsky.

Currently, a number of enterprises in the Orsha region face problems with the production of new products and sales markets, the minister stated. The region is focusing on industrial development, but it should not be limited to a single development vector, Vladimir Zinovsky believes.

He named the construction of the "Bremno-Orsha" multimodal industrial and logistics complex in the urban settlement of Bolbasovo as a promising project for the region, which will help create new jobs.
