This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The examination will be carried out by specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Energy Supervision. As reported, on the evening of January 25, Ministry of Emergency Situations employees rescued 36 people from a fire in the dormitory of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. 4 people were injured. Two of them are residents of the room where the fire broke out. They suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning and were hospitalized in moderate condition. Another young man received a cut on his hand, and one of the students broke her ankle. The fire completely destroyed the property in the room where it broke out. The ceiling between the first and second floors was damaged, and the corridors on all three floors of the building were smoked. The rescued people were temporarily accommodated in other dormitories of the educational institution. -0-
