A round table will be held for Vitebsk bus and public transport drivers

March 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Marshrutka and public transport drivers in Vitebsk will discuss the most pressing issues arising between them during road traffic at a round table. The event will take place on March 21 at the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the agitation and propaganda department of the traffic police of the Internal Affairs Directorate informed the correspondent. The third party with its own claims against drivers at this meeting will be law enforcement officers, whose attention will be more focused on marshrutka drivers. As noted by the traffic police, the most common violation by carriers is running a red light. This is followed by speeding and talking on a mobile phone while driving. Minor "infractions" include not wearing a seat belt, a dirty car, and others. In total, 45 accidents without injuries involving marshrutkas occurred in the regional center last year. It is also noteworthy that many carriers are repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for various offenses within a short period of time. During the event, each participant will be given the opportunity to speak on a pressing issue. As the organizers hope, such an open discussion will help to improve not only the relationship between drivers of different vehicles, but also the situation on the city's roads. -0-
