Dmitry Lomako appointed Chairman of the Sharkovshchina District Executive Committee

On May 13, an extraordinary 29th session of the District Council of Deputies was held at the Sharkovshchina District Executive Committee. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Shersnyov, took part in the meeting. There was one item on the agenda – the approval of the Chairman of the Sharkovshchina District Executive Committee.

By the order of N. Shersnyov, by agreement with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Dmitry Lamako was appointed to this position. Previously, he held the position of First Deputy Chairman – Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Sharkovshchina District Executive Committee.

— Large-scale joint purposeful work lies ahead to fulfill the socio-economic development indicators and measures of the district for 2016-2020, — noted Dmitry Mikhailovich. — The Sharkovshchina district is agricultural. About 40 percent of the population is employed in this sector. There are concrete results, but, unfortunately, we cannot yet speak of their significance. Plans include increasing the cattle population and the dairy herd. In 2017, it is planned to open three woodworking enterprises in the district, employing more than 50 people. It is planned to open production facilities for processing PET bottles and for manufacturing pellets.

N. Shersnyov shared his vision of the situation in the region. The head of the region noted that the Sharkovshchina district must be strong because hardworking people live here. Agriculture, industry, and the social sphere must continue to be developed. It is necessary to create new jobs and master the production of new types of competitive products. Give people the opportunity to earn, which, in turn, will increase the standard of living.

Nikolai Shersnyov reminded that it is necessary to think about the district budget, as the Sharkovshchina region currently receives significant subsidies from the regional budget. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee set the task to increase labor productivity and produce more products. And for this, according to Nikolai Nikolaevich, all conditions have been created. And then the region will develop and the well-being of the residents of Sharkovshchina will grow.
