"Pioneer Friendship Days" will unite schoolchildren from Moscow and Orsha

The international program "Pioneer Friendship Days" will bring together pioneers from Moscow and Orsha through mutual visits this year, as reported by Yulia Ivanova, chairperson of the regional council of the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization.

The Vitebsk Regional Pioneer Organization has been implementing the international program "Pioneer Friendship Days" for the fourth year.

"Since the beginning of our cooperation, we have been exchanging delegations once a year so that children can communicate, establish contacts, share experiences, and plan joint projects. Muscovites visited us in Vitebsk for the first time, then the Vitebsk region, Polotsk, and now it's Orsha's turn. Correspondingly, pioneers from these places visited the Russian capital. We deliberately changed the geography because each region has its own unique features and projects," explained Yulia Ivanova.

The delegation from the "Krasnaya Presnya" squad of Moscow

the city's pioneer organization is hosted by kids from Orsha this year.

The meeting will take place on April 16 at secondary school No. 12. Guests will be treated to an interactive panorama of the work experience of the Orsha district headquarters "Timurovets" and "Initsiativa" and a concert and game program "Let's get acquainted, let's be friends". In addition to communication and discussion of the activities of each organization, an excursion around Orsha and laying flowers at the "Katyusha" memorial complex and the monument to K. Zaslonov are planned. The leaders of the Moscow squad will also be introduced to the implementation of the "School of Organizational Skills" project.

"This project has been running for the third year and is designed for both pioneers and the BRSM activists, and pedagogical organizers. The essence is that each year a topic for study is chosen, for example, in 2016 it was the work of the press center. Children and teachers learn to write articles, design wall newspapers, and speak on the radio. Perhaps the 'Krasnaya Presnya' squad will want to adopt this experience," said Yulia Ivanova. The meeting is organized by the Vitebsk Regional Council of the NGO "BRPO" and the leadership of the "Krasnaya Presnya" pioneer squad.
