Vitebsk region days have started in Pskov
The grand opening ceremony of the Days will be held with the participation of the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin and the Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Vedernikov. During the July visit of the Vitebsk delegation to Pskov, the heads of the regions approved the decision to hold the days of the regions in an exchange format, and less than two months later, a large-scale Belarusian contingent landed on the banks of the Velikaya River. The program of the three-day event includes three main blocks: a consumer goods fair, an industrial exhibition, and performances by creative groups from the Vitebsk region.
The business program of the forum starts with the exhibition "Innovative Potential of the Vitebsk Region," which includes almost 30 industrial enterprises and higher educational institutions. The exposition is structured so that visitors can assess both the export opportunities of the Vitebsk region and the products of enterprises of various industry focuses. Investment initiatives of Vitebsk organizations interested in establishing cooperation with Russian partners are also presented here, as well as offers from tourism and health organizations at collective stands.
The central theme of the business conference will be the discussion of cooperation opportunities between Vitebsk and Pskov enterprises in import substitution, development of industrial cooperation in industry, agriculture and agro-industrial complex, construction, and housing and communal services.
At the fair of products by Vitebsk manufacturers, residents of the Russian region and guests will be able to appreciate the traditional quality and innovations of the processing industry from the enterprises of the "Meat-Dairy Products" concern, Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, Vitba Confectionery Factory, as well as Vitebsk Carpets, Orsha Linen Mill, and the Svitanak factory, clothing manufacturers belonging to the Vitebskprom Association. The fair project will be open for three days.
A bright culmination of the Vitebsk Region Days on September 4 will be a concert by creative groups from Pridvinye. It will take place in the concert hall of the City Cultural Center. A "Cultural Heritage of the Vitebsk Region" exhibition will also be organized here.
At the suggestion of the heads of the two regions, the holding of regional days is planned to become traditional for the development of interregional ties, thereby reviving well-established forms of work to strengthen the relationship between neighboring regions of Belarus and Russia. A reciprocal event by the Pskov Region in Vitebsk is planned for 2023.
