The voluntary fire brigade "Vitebskenergo" wins the republican tournament for the second year in a row

The voluntary fire brigade of the Vitebskenergo Republican Unitary Enterprise has won the Cup of the republican tournament among voluntary fire brigades and teams in fire and rescue sports for the second year in a row. The results of the competition, held today in Gomel, were reported to a BELTA correspondent by Ruslan Gabrileev, press secretary of the Gomel Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The second and third places in the team standings were won by the voluntary fire brigades of the Minsk CHPP-4 (2nd place) and the Brest branch of the Belarusian Railway. The winning teams were also noted in individual exercises. For example, the 100-meter obstacle course was overcome faster than others by the CHPP-4 brigade members. One of the participants of this team, Anton Tarasevich, was determined the winner in the individual competition by the jury. He completed the 100-meter race in 17.85 seconds. The second exercise of the tournament, the 4x100m fire relay race, was most smoothly completed by the team of the Borisov Grain Processing Plant. The participants of the fire brigade of the Brest branch of the Belarusian Railway left others behind in the combat deployment. The best voluntary fire brigades and teams from regional centers and the city of Minsk, as well as a team representing the Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry, competed for the title of the strongest in the 10th republican tournament. The prize-winning teams, as well as the participants who took first, second, and third places in the individual competition in the republican standings, received diplomas of the corresponding degrees, medals, and valuable prizes (microwave ovens and domestic DVD players) as awards. The event was held with the aim of improving the professional and sports skills of employees of organizations that are part of volunteer fire formations. As Ruslan Gabrileev noted, the tournament identified the most prepared among them. The victory of the Vitebskenergo RUP voluntary fire brigade is due not only to the constant training of the team members but also to the attention paid by the enterprise's management to the issue of combat readiness in case of emergencies. Several years ago, intra-departmental competitions in fire and rescue sports were successfully revived at the Vitebsk enterprise of the Ministry of Energy systems. In recent years, the core of the team has been formed, which includes employees of structural divisions from Novolukoml, Vitebsk, and Glubokoe. -0-
