Officials of the Glubokoye poultry farm are accused of embezzling products worth over Br39 million.

Officials of the Glubokoye poultry farm are accused of large-scale embezzlement of products, Vladimir Belous, Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, told a BELTA correspondent. Two employees of the enterprise, using their official position, entered into a conspiracy with a 40-year-old individual entrepreneur. From December 2008 to June 2009, with the aim of personal enrichment, the ladies handed over eggs and poultry meat worth more than Br39 million to him. A criminal case has been initiated against the women under Part 4 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Belarus for embezzlement by abuse of official powers, committed on a particularly large scale, which provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. This week, the criminal case will be sent to court. The individual entrepreneur is currently wanted. -0-
