Road construction workers are building a dormitory in Tolochin

Keys to apartments in a new dormitory for young families are planned to be handed over to young specialists of Tolochin DSU-63 at the end of September.

The organization, which is part of the structure of the capital's OAO "SMT No. 8", is a prestigious employer in the district. While not experiencing a particular shortage of labor, the enterprise nevertheless pays great attention not only to economics but also to social issues. After all, caring for personnel is the key to efficiency.

Currently, landscaping work is in full swing at the construction site. The three-story, 12-apartment building was "built" in about six months, and the acceptance committee is expected here in September. According to Igor Nosovich, deputy head of DSU-63, the enterprise is building the facility with its own funds, and the head organization in Minsk acts as the customer.

– The team employs about 320 specialists, and although there is no staff turnover, there is a natural process of renewal. Young people are joining us, in particular, graduates from leading universities from the capital and regional centers. So, we need to support the guys and girls by creating the necessary conditions to get the corresponding return in production, – emphasized Igor Nosovich.

And the geography of the production facilities of the Tolochin road workers is extensive. Judge for yourself. The other day, specialists returned from the Gomel region, where they successfully commissioned a 13 km section of the M5 Minsk-Gomel highway. This technically complex facility belongs to the first category of similar road arteries, and the financing of the work is carried out at the expense of Chinese credit resources. Currently, representatives of DSU-63 are working on the second Minsk ring road, as well as on the reconstruction of the M6 Minsk-Grodno highway, where they will have to re-engineer 10 km of the route. And in the Vitebsk region, Tolochin road workers find points of application for their efforts. For example, they are preparing for the regional "Dazhynak" festival to receive guests of the capital – last year it was Tolochin, this year it is Senno.

According to Igor Nosovich, the enterprise seeks work wherever there is an opportunity to apply its strengths and skills, in particular,

including landscaping and other, seemingly insignificant in volume, objects. As the activity is mainly field-based, a mobile construction town has been formed within the organization. It includes 20 residential trailers for specialists, which provide comfortable conditions, refrigerators, microwaves, and a water supply system. If necessary, investments can be made in the retraining and professional development of specialists. Such high mobility today makes it possible to stay afloat, retain the team, ensure a decent level of salary and social support for employees, as well as update the material and technical base. The management's assets include a stationary asphalt plant in Tolochin, as well as a mobile asphalt concrete complex ECO-3000, which has currently "moved" from the Gomel region to the Grodno region and is installed in the Volkovysk district. Recently, the parent organization purchased a modern concrete plant for the Tolochin management, which is now "working" on the 2nd MKAD. In addition, in 2015, the enterprise thoroughly updated its vehicle fleet.

From a brief conversation with Igor Nosovich, it becomes clear how road workers manage to achieve profitability of up to 30% and where the opportunities come from to create conditions for their specialists. A properly motivated team is capable of achieving the highest results.
