Income from the sale of state property in the Vitebsk region increased by 62.6% in 2018

In the Vitebsk region in 2018, revenue from the sale of state property objects increased by 62.6% compared to the results of the previous year. This was announced to journalists before the final board meeting by the Chairman of the State Property Committee of the Regional Executive Committee, Viktor Zaitsev.

Last year, the committee organized 644 auctions. 99 real estate objects were sold at successful auctions: 17 of republican ownership for Br278 thousand and 82 of communal ownership for Br2.6 million. "The increase in the number of sold objects compared to 2017 grew by 23.8%, and in value - by 62.6%. 37 objects were sold for 1 basic unit in 2018," noted Viktor Zaitsev. "In 2019, we plan to involve 453 objects of communal ownership in economic circulation, of which we intend to sell 310 through auction."

The plan for involving unused real estate objects of state and non-state ownership in the Orsha district is under special control. More than 600 of them have been identified. In the near future, it is planned to sell the complex of buildings and structures of the former reinforced concrete products plant (about 70 objects in total) at auction. There are four potential buyers for this property. The agreement between OJSC "Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange" (BUCE) and the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" committee on involving unused or inefficiently used state property in economic circulation through the electronic trading platform operating on the exchange will also contribute to attracting investment in the region. The board meeting noted the need for a balanced approach to the sale of unused real estate and higher quality work by local authorities with investors.
