Vitebskoblavtotrans's income from paid services increased by almost 22% in the first quarter

Revenues from paid services of the republican transport territorial unitary enterprise "Vitebskoblautotrans" in the first quarter of the current year increased by almost 22% compared to the same period in 2008, amounting to Br4.1 billion, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The revenue growth was ensured by expanding the range of services that the transport enterprises (TEs) of "Vitebskoblautotrans" provide to individuals and legal entities. Over the last three years alone, 5 diagnostic stations have been put into operation: in Novopolotsk, Polotsk, Miory, Dubrovno, Beshenkovichi. Currently, there are 20 technical diagnostic stations operating within the "Vitebskoblautotrans" system, 4 of which are mobile. In 2008, tire fitting sections were created at 17 TEs, equipped with modern equipment that allows work with tubeless tires. Another 6 enterprises organized certified service stations for warranty and service maintenance of MAZ vehicles. Taking into account the demand from the public and organizations, the enterprises provide vehicle washing, sanitation, and disinfection services, and parking lots have been created. Pre-trip medical and technical inspections can also be carried out at the enterprises of "Vitebskoblautotrans". Additional sources of income are a support for the enterprise in acquiring new vehicles. Annually, "Vitebskoblautotrans" acquires about 70 new units of equipment at its own expense. In the first quarter of this year, 38 trucks, trailers, and semi-trailers were purchased. From January to March, the enterprises of "Vitebskoblautotrans" transported 2 million tons of various goods, which is 105.2% compared to the same period last year. Export services were provided for $336.4 thousand, which is 95% compared to the corresponding period last year. -0-
