Dubroven flax mill plans to complete boiler house modernization in 2010
January 26, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Dubrovno Flax Mill OJSC plans to complete the modernization of its boiler house in 2010, the enterprise director Anatoly Bosenkov told a BELTA correspondent.
The project implementation began in 2009. In accordance with it, a steam generator unit for electricity generation is planned to be installed at the existing boiler house, which runs on gas and local fuel (LF). Due to this, the share of LF used for heat and electricity generation will increase by 20-30%. Currently, it is over 50%. This will allow the enterprise to fully utilize flax shives, which remain as production waste, and significantly reduce energy costs.
The project cost is Br800 million. About half of the funds for its implementation were allocated in 2009. The modernization of the boiler house is planned to be completed in the second half of the current year. The payback period of the project is about four years.
Anatoly Bosenkov noted that in the Year of Quality, the flax mill intends to give top priority to this aspect in product manufacturing. One of the significant measures will be the expansion of sowing areas for imported flax varieties. Their acreage will be doubled to 200 hectares. In addition, compliance with flax cultivation and harvesting technologies will be strictly monitored.
In 2009, Dubrovno Flax Mill produced products worth about Br10 billion, which is 16% higher than in 2008. The profitability of sales was 1.5%. The energy saving indicator was minus 16%.
The volume of investment in fixed assets reached Br12.5 billion. This funding strengthened the enterprise's material base. In particular, more than 20 units of self-propelled harvesting equipment of domestic production were purchased, which made it possible to cope with the harvest within optimal deadlines. Also, in 2009, 2 warehouses for seed storage were built, and the floor dryer was expanded 1.5 times (to 600 sq.m). In 2010, it is planned to allocate about Br1 billion for production development. Investments will go towards completing the modernization of the boiler house, acquiring the necessary technological equipment and machinery.
The enterprise was founded in 1933. It accounts for 18% of all flax production in the Vitebsk region. Flax sowing areas in 2010 will amount to 1.7 thousand hectares.
For successful performance results, the plant director Anatoly Bosenkov was awarded the title "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region" based on the results of 2009. -0-
