In 2011, the Dubrovno Flax Mill will direct over Br5 billion in investments to production development.
February 1, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Dubroven Linen Mill" plans to invest more than Br5 billion in production development in 2011, the enterprise's director Anatoly Bosenkov told a BELTA correspondent.
The main activities planned for implementation this year include an investment project to install a new line for the production of short flax fiber, the construction of a warehouse for raw material storage and garages for equipment purchased in 2010. In addition, the existing boiler house will have to replace an outdated boiler, both morally and physically, with a capacity of 6.5 tons of steam per hour.
Anatoly Bosenkov noted that last year, investments in the enterprise's fixed capital also amounted to more than Br5 billion. A major project was the launch of a steam turbine unit running on gas and flax shives. Its implementation allowed the plant to utilize flax shives, which remain as production waste. Annually, their volume is about 4 thousand tons, which is equivalent to 2 thousand tons of conventional fuel. Thus, a closed production cycle has been formed at the plant.
The use of flax shives as a local type of fuel will allow the plant to generate one-third of its consumed energy resources. The expected savings will be Br20-25 million per month. The payback period for the project is four years.
The enterprise was founded in 1933. In 2010, the plant produced products worth Br8.5 billion, which is 22% more than in 2009. The total number of employees is 230 people. -0-
