Two dozen enterprises and organizations of the Vitebsk region have been included in the regional Honor Board

The ceremony honoring those who have achieved the highest results in meeting the socio-economic development parameters of the Pridvinye region is one of the most significant events in the region dedicated to the celebration of May 1st.

Among the best performers based on the results of 2012 are 20 enterprises from the fuel and energy complex, industry, agriculture, communications and transport, education, culture, medicine, and sports. For the second time in recent years, the private unitary enterprise "Nit'" of the public association "Belarusian Society of the Deaf" has been included in the Honor Roll. As the chief engineer of the garment enterprise, Gennady Lobanov, told our correspondent, they pay special attention to production modernization: new equipment is not only functional and reliable but also consumes a minimal amount of energy resources. In 2013, such an approach to work is highly encouraged, as in the Year of Thrift, we all need to save.

— In the current challenging conditions, enterprises of the Vitebsk region are seeking sources of economic growth through modernization, the development of human intellectual and creative potential, and the search for new ideas and technologies. Success comes to those who can clearly define their goals, make correct, well-thought-out decisions for the future, — noted the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Alexander Atyasov, during the solemn event. — By honoring the frontrunners, we pay tribute to the most respected teams and workers who, through concrete examples and actions, not only improve their own well-being but also contribute to strengthening the economies of their regions, the region, and the country. Most importantly, they set a good tone for the entire national economic complex.

By the way, Vitebsk residents are also setting a good tone in such work. The city's Honor Roll was opened along with the regional one. Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Viktor Nikolaikin, expressed words of gratitude and appreciation for conscientious labor.
