Two new information and communication technology classrooms were opened at the Vitebsk Special Boarding School by the New Year
Over 90 children are being educated there today. These are children with hearing impairments and intellectual disabilities who require highly qualified pedagogical assistance. The classrooms, equipped with the latest technology, will elevate correctional work, sound articulation, and speech development classes to a new level.
The classrooms are equipped with two radio classes, a smart mirror, a speech therapist's table, an interactive panel, an all-in-one computer, and other state-of-the-art learning tools. The sponsor – Russian Railways – was represented at the holiday event at the boarding school by the Honorary Consul of Russia in Belarus and General Director of the "Belvest" enterprise, Yuri Sumaneev. The gift from Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) cost almost two million Russian rubles.
– We were driven by the desire to help children who need special attention. Many wonder what cooperation between our states entails. I am sure that, first and foremost, it is the aspiration to be closer in moments when we need to help each other, – said Yuri Sumaneev.
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, is right in stating that sweet gifts give children a sense of holiday and magic. The regional leadership has taken care of this. But the staff of the institution will appreciate computer equipment, a washing machine, kitchen equipment, and other daily necessities. They found everything they asked for under the Christmas tree.

The most heartfelt congratulations to the children were given by the Chairman of the City Executive Committee, Nikolai Orlov, the Head of the Administration of the Pervomaysky District, Evgeny Semenychev, and other guests who also came to the celebration not empty-handed.
After handing out gifts, the adults did not hurry to their important affairs but took the opportunity to immerse themselves, even for a short while, in a world where Santa Claus fulfills all cherished wishes.
