Two enterprises of the Vitebsk region were recognized as the best exporters of the year

Two enterprises from the Vitebsk region – OJSC "Rudakovo" and IPUP "VIK – Animal Health" – became winners of the "Best Exporter of 2015" competition, the results of which were recently announced in Minsk.

This year, the winners of the competition, organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were determined in 20 nominations. OJSC "Rudakovo" from the Vitebsk district, which grows vegetables in its own state-of-the-art greenhouse complex, was recognized as the best exporter in agriculture. As reported by Natalia Koin, Head of the Sales Department of the enterprise, about 80% of the greenhouse products are sent to Russia.

– Over the past five years, we have made a great leap in developing new sales markets, increasing export volumes sixfold, and increasing foreign exchange earnings by 7.4 times. Last year, about 8 thousand tons of high-quality cucumbers and tomatoes were supplied to the market of the Russian Federation regions, including Smolensk, Moscow, Bryansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Leningrad, Kaliningrad, Arkhangelsk, and other regions of the neighboring country, – noted Natalia Alexandrovna.

In the "Production of Goods for Treatment and Rehabilitation" nomination, the foreign unitary enterprise "VIK – Animal Health" became the best. The pharmaceutical company, registered in the "Vitebsk" free economic zone, produces over 50 types of veterinary drugs, as well as cosmetic products for cats and dogs. The list of sales markets includes Russia and Kazakhstan.
