Two military aircraft have been installed in Senno for the regional "Dazhynki-2016" festival.

Two military aircraft – Su-27 and Su-24 – have been installed in the Park of Three Heroes in Senno, delivered by trailers from the airbase stationed in Baranovichi. They will become part of the alley of military glory being created in the capital of the regional "Dazhynki-2016".

As Sergey Metelitsa, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Senno District Executive Committee, told us, the aircraft will stand next to an armored personnel carrier, an infantry fighting vehicle, a self-propelled gun, and artillery pieces. Recently, the platform of the legendary "Katyusha" – a "ZIS" vehicle – was delivered. Soon, a mock-up of a mortar rocket launcher will appear on it.

By the way, the Park of Three Heroes is named in honor of the "Katyusha" crew buried here, who died on June 26, 1944, near the village of Kozhemyaki. During a battle with a large enemy grouping, the mortar rocket launcher was damaged. For more than six hours, Timofey Svetlichny, Sergey Borodulin, and Pavel Nazarenko held back the enemy's onslaught. In March 1945, all three were posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
