Twelve Vitebsk enterprises are halving trade markups for low-income citizens

Twelve Vitebsk enterprises are halving trade markups on socially significant goods for low-income groups of citizens - pensioners, disabled people of I and II groups, large families, the trade and services department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.

Three of the listed stores have already implemented a "loyalty system". For example, at OJSC "Vitebsky Univermag", large families can purchase underwear (sewing), knitted underwear for newborns and toddlers, hosiery for children, school notebooks, sanitary paper products for children, soap and toilet cream soap, and domestic synthetic detergents at a halved trade markup daily from 9:00 to 12:00.

In the CJSC "Trading House "ShagoVita" store on Lenin Street, a similar discount is provided to large families daily from 10:00 to 12:00 on footwear for toddlers and young children. In the "Nika-10" store of OJSC "Nika" (Gagarina St., 156A), the specified categories of citizens can buy socially significant food products daily from 8:00 to 12:00: milk, kefir, sour cream, cottage cheese, dry milk formulas and meat products for baby food, wheat flour, groats, pasta, chicken eggs, butter, sunflower or rapeseed oil, vegetable, fruit and berry, fruit and vegetable preserves and juices for baby food.

From mid-September, stores No. 65, No. 83, No. 128, No. 149 of OJSC "Vesta"; stores No. 20, No. 30, No. 34 of OJSC "Vitebskiye Produkty"; the supermarket of CJSC "Firma "Omega" (Korotkevich St., 24), and the "Ganna-3" store of the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm will also join the "loyalty system".

The decree of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee was adopted to support socially vulnerable segments of the population. Trade services for citizens covered by this decree are provided upon presentation of a supporting document. In total, about 30 facilities - stores, household service enterprises, and public catering establishments - are already covered by the "loyalty system" in Vitebsk. -0-
