Two Russians attempted to smuggle women from Minsk to Tula for prostitution
April 15, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Two Russian citizens attempted to smuggle female residents of Minsk to Tula for prostitution, Dmitry Orekhva, prosecutor of the department for supervision of the legality of court decisions in criminal cases and analysis of judicial practice of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, told a BELTA correspondent.
A girl born in 1988 and her 32-year-old partner met four Minsk residents aged 20 to 30 on various websites on the Internet and offered them to engage in prostitution in Tula. The unemployed Belarusian women were tempted by "easy" money and therefore agreed. The meeting took place in Orsha. However, further cooperation was prevented by law enforcement officers who detained the dangerous employers and rescued the potential victims of sexual exploitation.
For attempting to take girls abroad for prostitution, Russian citizens were sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. They will serve their long sentences in correctional institutions in Belarus. -0-
