Two Vitebsk residents have been sentenced to a long term for raping a pregnant woman, Dmitry Orekhva, senior prosecutor of the department for supervision of the legality of court decisions in criminal cases and analysis of judicial practice of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, told a BELTA correspondent. The merry pastime of the young men continued with an acquaintance with a liberated young lady. Light flirting with a fickle stranger pushed the tipsy guys, who felt emboldened, to more active actions, while the girl's desires were not taken into account. The punishment for this "miscalculation" will be the next five years and three months, which, by court decision, they will spend in a colony. The 27-year-old girl, who was three months pregnant, was in the hospital for a long time after the rape, but it was not possible to save the pregnancy. -0-
