Unfortunately, the regional center still lacks a specialized building for holding a solemn wedding ceremony. Registration is carried out in the Civil Registry Office of the City Executive Committee, which is located on the first floor of a residential building. Both the employees of the office and the newlyweds note the inconvenience of this. The Palace of Weddings will be built in Vitebsk on Millennium Square on the bank of the Western Dvina River near the Annunciation Church. This place was not chosen by chance. According to legend, Prince Alexander Nevsky married a princess from Polotsk in this church. Currently, work is underway in Vitebsk to create a monument to the prince, his wife and son, which will also be installed near the church and the future Palace of Weddings. According to the governor, it is necessary to create a developed network of services near the palace: from a restaurant and hotel to beauty salons and photo studios. "And a visit to the monument to Alexander Nevsky and his wife with his son can start some good omen associated with family well-being," believes the chairman of the regional executive committee.
