The Jeep festival with elements of a trophy raid "Zhara-2015" will be held in the Vitebsk region from July 24 to 26

The Beshenkovichi district has been chosen to host the republican competition in GPS navigation with off-road driving for all-wheel-drive vehicles and ATVs. More than 50 vehicles and about 200 well-known athletes and guests from different regions of Belarus and Russia will take part in the competition, which will be held in our region for the third time.

As explained by the event organizers (the Belarusian off-road “JEEP-CLUB” with the support of the Vitebsk club “Severny Rubezh”), the main competitive factor of the trophy raid is to reach GPS points within a specified time limit (7 hours). Participants independently record their progress along the route using a digital camera: at specific locations (GPS points), they take a photo that must show the vehicle with its starting number, a crew member, and a “unique object” (this could be a stone, tree, stump, etc. with an identification mark (point number) applied to it).

The Jeep festival includes not only the competitive part but also an interesting evening show program.
