A unified electronic system for placing outdoor advertising will be created in Vitebsk

June 30, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. A unified electronic system for placing all advertising media will be created in Vitebsk in accordance with the concept for the development of outdoor advertising in the regional center until 2015. The document was approved today at a session of the City Council of Deputies, Director of the state enterprise "Vitebskreklama" Denis Lyutenko told a BELTA correspondent. The electronic system will be an interactive map of the city placed on the Internet, which will indicate all existing outdoor advertising media. In interactive mode, it will be possible to obtain all the necessary information on a specific medium and book advertising placement. "This will be an absolutely transparent system, convenient for both potential advertisers and for accounting, allowing to optimize the control work in the field of advertising activities," believes Denis Lyutenko. Vitebsk is actively forming the outdoor advertising market, while there is no unified systematic approach to its approval, placement, and accounting, and conditions have not been created to stimulate market participants to introduce modern technologies and materials, noted the director of SE "Vitebskreklama". The approved concept for the development of outdoor advertising in the regional center defines the main directions for the development of outdoor advertising. The implementation of the concept's provisions will improve the quality of technical means of outdoor advertising and form a unified visual perception of the city's advertising space. In addition, it will allow to coordinate advertising placement with the comprehensive improvement of the regional center's territory and increase local budget revenues from advertising activities. The recently created enterprise "Vitebskreklama" acts as the state operator of outdoor advertising. Today, there are about 300 advertising structures in Vitebsk, including almost 120 billboards. In 2008, the city budget revenues from advertising activities amounted to about Br300 million. -0-
