In connection with the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers and the 24th anniversary of the withdrawal
of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the Vitebsk City Executive Committee decided to provide one-time financial assistance in the amount of 500 thousand rubles to veterans of combat operations in the territory of other states who became disabled as a result of injuries, and to families of veterans who died while performing their international duty and official duties. A total of 39 addresses are listed in the payment registry for Vitebsk.
Similar decisions have been made by other city (district) executive committees of the region. Employed former internationalist soldiers will be encouraged at their place of employment.
