The main events of the eco-festival will take place in the city park (starting at 15:00), as reported by the "Interaxtion" Foundation for the Promotion of International Dialogue and Cooperation. Several thematic zones will be organized here. Experts will help everyone determine the nitrate level in well water and talk about ways to prevent water pollution. Schoolchildren will learn to build houses for the river bird goldeneye, draw an energy-efficient school, and solve ecological riddles during a quest game. And those who can't put down their tablet or smartphone will be able to protect nature with the mobile game Ecokids, the foundation noted.

In the creative zone of the eco-festival, master classes by artisans and artists will be held: they will show how to make ceramic souvenirs reminiscent of small rivers, and how to draw river landscapes. A thematic photo exhibition will also open here. Even the youngest will have their own area at the festival - preschoolers will be offered to watch an ecological play and create eco-toys together with their parents.

"In nature, as you know, everything is interconnected. To preserve small rivers, we need to think about their inhabitants, about how to save energy and properly handle waste. Therefore, various contests, discussions, and performances will be organized at the festival. The holiday will become a real ecological fair," expressed confidence Natalia Oreshkova, Deputy Head of the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism of the Sharkovshchyna District Executive Committee.

The celebration will conclude with a concert by popular Belarusian bands "Nagual", "U neskladovaye", "Rekha" (from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM).

The festival will summarize the results of the "Small Rivers - Big Problems" project for the protection of such water bodies in Gluboksky, Postavsky, and Sharkovshchinsky districts. Their ecological condition is of great importance for both Belarus and the entire Baltic region. The initiative has been running since May 2013 and is funded by the European Union. The organizers of the celebration are the "Interakcia" Foundation (the project's lead partner) and the Sharkovshchinsky District Executive Committee.

The "Small Rivers - Big Problems" project is aimed at preserving the small rivers that form the Disna basin. Participants of the initiative, about 400 adults and schoolchildren in Gluboksky, Postavsky, and Sharkovshchinsky districts, study the condition of the rivers and clean their banks from garbage.
