Ecology, employment and trade: Anatoly Linevich held a reception for citizens in Shumilino

Topics of ecology, rural trade, and employment assistance were discussed during a direct telephone line and personal reception of citizens by Presidential Aide - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Anatoly Linevich at the Shumilino District Executive Committee.

A resident of Shumilino was the first to voice her problem by phone. Her mother lives in the town of Shumilino on Karl Marx Street in a private house, and there are shops near the plot. In May 2021, a retail outlet for building materials began operating. According to the applicant, they have a boiler room, and smoke with an unpleasant odor comes from the chimney after burning waste and product packaging. In addition, the local resident believes that the chimney is installed in violation of requirements. "We are taking the issue under control to study the situation. Specialists will figure out whether all this complies with regulatory acts, including in the field of ecology, and we will give you an answer," said Anatoly Linevich.

A former employee of the Shumilino forestry came to the reception. The man was injured while working at the forestry. Doctors gave him a disability group, and now he cannot work in the organization in his previous position, and there are no suitable vacancies. Representatives of the forestry explained that the doctors concluded that it was not a work-related injury, but a general illness. The applicant was offered assistance in employment, and the employment service will provide him with possible job openings in the district.

Residents of the village of Kozyany delegated their neighbor to the reception to help resolve several issues. They do not have a shop, and there are complaints about the quality of the mobile shop seller's work. Villagers also complain about poor mobile communication and the lack of wired internet. The woman also pointed out that there is no public catering point near the railway station in Shumilino for passengers to eat while waiting for trains. The Presidential Aide instructed to delve into the raised issues and resolve them.

Summarizing the communication with people, Anatoly Linevich emphasized that most issues could be resolved independently by the local authorities. He also drew attention to the importance of such receptions for obtaining feedback from residents. "People see that they can turn to an official of any level with their problem. They will be heard, given an answer, and helped if the issue can be resolved within the law. But the main thing is that there is communication with the person," the President's aide added.
