The economic forum in Vitebsk will help small businesses establish cooperation with major investors

The VI International Economic Forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" is designed to help small businesses enter into cooperation with large domestic and foreign enterprises. This was announced today by the Chairperson of the Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina, at a press conference dedicated to the upcoming forum.

The forum will be held in Vitebsk on May 11-12. Its main venue will be the territory of the regional Palace of Sports, which will host expositions of cities and district centers of the region, as well as international specialized exhibitions. A special emphasis will be placed on small businesses in manufacturing. "Consulting centers will operate in the palace lobby, not only of associations, entrepreneurship support centers, and the small business development incubator, but also banks, which have been granted a number of powers for lending to small and medium-sized enterprises. This information will be useful both for our businessmen and for foreign investors. Because the private sector is interested in expanding its business, but is still afraid to take out loans for this or attract investors. Although such cooperation promises great benefits," noted Anzhelika Nikitina.

She explained that in Europe and beyond, as a rule, large companies are created, around which small enterprises operating on a cooperative basis are concentrated. This niche is precisely what initiative-driven private entrepreneurs occupy. "I see the future of our manufacturing in cooperation with large foreign partners. This is an opportunity to organize small-scale production, but at the same time have access to a common raw material base, technologies, and a large distribution network. Such enterprises are more competitive," is confident Anzhelika Nikitina.

Participation in the forum for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the Vitebsk region will open up other opportunities for them. They will become acquainted with large investment projects that are proposed for implementation and will be able to find their own niche for contracting or offer some of their services. The event program includes a section presenting the investment potential of the region. An international event will also be held.

Scientific and Practical Conference "Energy Resource Saving-2017", XIV Republican Environmental Forum with specialized exhibitions, thematic sections and seminars. Participation of official delegations from cities and regions, the diplomatic corps, representatives of business associations, companies from 14 countries is expected.

The forum is organized by the Vitebsk Regional and City Executive Committees, the Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the Regional Department for Supervision of Rational Use of Fuel and Energy Resources, the Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center, the administration of FEZ "Vitebsk".
