Export-oriented products will be manufactured in Vitebsk at prefabricated reinforced concrete plant No. 3

A new technological line for the production of hollow-core floor slabs using the formwork-free method has been opened at the Precast Reinforced Concrete Plant No. 3, a branch of JSC "Krichevcementnoshifer". These products are in demand both in the domestic and foreign markets, mainly in Smolensk and Pskov.

The event was attended by the head of the Vitebsk region, Nikolai Sherstnev.

"The equipment from Weiler Italia was purchased from PMK-11 in Ivacevichi, where it was previously used but had not been in operation for over 5 years. 5.5 million rubles were spent on the setup and launch of the new line, and we plan to recoup the investment in 6 years," reported Viktor Mitronov, Director of the Precast Reinforced Concrete Plant No. 3.

The new line can produce slabs with a width of 1000 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, a length from 1000 mm to 12000 mm, and with the required load, specified thickness, and void configuration. The maximum daily productivity of the line will be up to 600 sq. m. of floor area. When operating at full capacity, the revenue from the sale of manufactured products per year can average around 6000 thousand rubles with VAT.

According to Viktor Mitronov, an additional 10 jobs will be created, and when the workshop operates in two shifts, another 6 people will be needed.

The Precast Reinforced Concrete Plant was founded on May 6, 1956. Over the years, the enterprise was part of various construction trusts and associations, and in 1998 it was transformed into JSC "Precast Reinforced Concrete Plant No. 3 of Vitebsk".

The years of perestroika shook the stability of the enterprise, and by 2014 the plant had fallen into decline. From 2014 to 2016, it operated only three days a week. The enterprise suffered significant losses and was approaching bankruptcy. In 2017, it was merged with JSC "Krichevcementnoshifer", which helped it overcome the crisis and provided a new impetus for development. Since 2018, the branch has been operating stably and profitably.

The production modernization took over two years and cost 7.5 million rubles. The overhead cranes have been switched to floor control, the formwork equipment has been improved, and the production of ventilation blocks has been established. At the end of 2020, a new line for the production of paving slabs and curbs was launched. Along with the modernization of production, the plant territory has been improved, the administrative and utility building and other plant divisions have been repaired.

For the enterprise, this is an innovative product, and the "BCK" holding provides great support. We plan to start mass production of hollow-core slabs using the slipform method as early as Monday, May 24. The slabs will be used in both residential and industrial construction.

The plant modernization did not end there. Over its 65-year existence, technology has advanced, but the management plans to keep up with the times and make Reinforced Concrete Assembly Plant No. 3 a modern, highly efficient enterprise.
