Extreme driving and issuance of children's driver's licenses. The safety festival in Vitebsk was held on a grand scale

Экстремальное вождение и выдача детских водительских прав. Праздник безопасности в Витебске прошел с размахом
Drifting in official cars and motorcycles, performing aerobatics, controlling bikes in extreme conditions. What else did the spectators gathered in the car town of festival Vitebsk see?

During the "Slavianski Bazaar" days, law enforcement officers organized a large-scale campaign "For Safety Together," dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian police and aimed at preventing child road traffic injuries.

The car town was located on Victory Square; hundreds of residents and guests of the regional center managed to visit it during its operation. Children started storming the traffic police bus from the morning, where registration for obtaining children's driver's licenses was taking place.

To obtain licenses, participants had to pass four stages according to their age category. For example, pass a test on traffic rules knowledge on a computer, draw road signs with a 3D pen, or drive an electric car or bicycle on a track.

Traffic inspectors did not forget about preventive work with adults either. Anyone who wished could sit in a special simulator car and experience what happens inside the cabin during a traffic accident and what it's like to be unbuckled at the moment of a crash.

The "Drunk Goggles" area was just as illustrative: participants had to walk in a straight line wearing goggles that blurred vision, simulating a drunk person's perception of reality.

The auto-town also hosted exhibitions of retro cars and weapons, a master class on installing child restraint systems, demonstration performances by cynologists and riot police, and concerts by employees of internal affairs bodies and stars of Belarusian эстрада.

But the most spectacular event of the campaign was the demonstration of skills by the crews of special units "Strela" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus and "Vityaz" of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Executive Committee. Professionals, to the enthusiastic cheers of the public, showed aerobatics and driving skills in extreme conditions, and performed drifts on service cars and motorcycles.
