Energy workers promptly restored electricity supply to more than 200 settlements in the Vitebsk region
Over the previous day, energy workers of Vitebsk region promptly eliminated technological disruptions caused by heavy rains and gusty winds. Power supply to over 200 settlements was restored. "Temporary outages were observed in some settlements of Shumilino, Vitebsk, Sharkovshchina, Miory, Liozno, Polotsk, Orsha, Tolochin and other districts of the region. Additional personnel and equipment were involved to speed up the work," the message states.
The main cause of emergency power outages was falling trees and branches onto power lines. As of 9:00 AM on August 3, emergency recovery work was ongoing in 10 settlements located in the Polotsk and Rossony districts. RUP "Vitebskenergo" has taken all necessary measures to eliminate technological disruptions and restore power supply to consumers as quickly as possible.
