"Energokomplekt" masters the production of import-substituting power and fire-resistant cables

Limited Liability Company "Production Association "Energokomplekt" (LLC "PA Energokomplekt") has started developing export-oriented and import-substituting products - a group of power cables with a voltage of 110 kV and halogen-free flame-retardant power cables with a voltage of up to 1 kV. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the enterprise. The implementation of the project for the production of 110 kV cables and the development of flame-retardant halogen-free cables with a voltage of 1 kV is planned for 2011-2015. Thus, "Energokomplekt" intends to produce a fundamentally new segment of cables for itself, which will allow it to supply the Belarusian market with a product that is import-substituting, and to increase the export component of the enterprise from 6% in 2009 to 27% in 2015. It is expected that thanks to the new project, the production volume of products in kind will reach 25.7 thousand km of cable per year by 2015, which is estimated at 59.7 million euros. It is planned that the production volumes of 110 kV power cable in 2015 will reach 180 km, and the production volumes of 1 kV halogen-free flame-retardant power cable will exceed 700 km. The introduction of new products into production alone will allow the enterprise to generate 21.58 million euros in revenue in 2015. According to the results of 2010, the production volume of products at comparable prices amounted to more than Br378.9 billion (in 2009 - Br304 billion). Exports of goods increased from $22.4 million to $29.4 million. Br5.4 billion was invested in fixed assets. The profitability of sold products, according to operational data, was 14%, and net profit, according to operational data, exceeded Br8 billion. Production Association "Energokomplekt" was established in 1997 and is the largest enterprise in Belarus among cable and wire product manufacturers. The enterprise employs over 400 qualified specialists and workers. Of these, 26% are engineering and technical personnel. The range of manufactured products includes over 6500 types and sizes. Currently, "Energokomplekt" is the only manufacturer in Belarus of medium and high voltage cables (10-110 kV) with cross-linked polyethylene insulation, and also holds leading positions in such product groups as self-supporting wires for overhead power lines, as well as power cables of large cross-sections (up to 500 mm2) for voltages up to 1000 V. Technological equipment from well-known European manufacturers ensures a complete production cycle. Its production capacity is 3000 tons of finished products per month. The quality of the supplied products is confirmed by the presence of Russian and Belarusian certificates for all manufactured products, certificates of conformity to the quality management system in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2001 and RST ISO 9001-2001, which have been in place at the enterprise since 2004. The enterprise has its own laboratory, accredited for technical competence in accordance with the requirements of standards, and conducts all types of cable product testing. From 2006 to the present, the enterprise's products have been exported to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Moldova. Strategically important current consumers of the association's products include Belenergo concern, Belarusian Railway, RUP PO Belaruskali, OJSC Grodno Azot, OJSC Naftan, OJSC Polimir. -0-
