The power supply to settlements in the Vitebsk region that were de-energized due to snowfall will be restored today

January 3, Minsk / Elena Demeshkevich - BELTA /. Power supply to settlements in the Vitebsk region that were de-energized due to snowfall will be restored today, BELTA was informed by the State Production Association "Belenergo". As of 7:00 a.m., 24 settlements in the Vitebsk region remained de-energized. "Emergency crews of energy workers have completed most of the restoration work, only a little is left. Most likely, power supply interruptions in the remaining settlements will be eliminated today before noon," Belenergo said. According to the production association, in Belarus, from the night of December 31 to January 1, 789 settlements were disconnected from electricity. The settlements of the Minsk, Vitebsk, and Grodno regions suffered the most from the bad weather. There were practically no power outages in the Mogilev and Gomel regions. The main reason for power supply interruptions was the adhesion of snow to wires, as well as the falling of trees onto power lines. -0-
