The EU will finance the development of the "Blue Necklace of Rossony" green route
November 10, Minsk / Andrey Asfura - BELTA /. "The Blue Necklace of Rossony" has been included in the list of green routes that will be developed within the framework of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme project "Sustainable Development at the Local Level". Valeria Klitsunova, thematic expert of the project, informed a BELTA correspondent about this.
The green route is 200 km long and passes through the urban settlement of Rossony, the villages of Gorbachevo, Zaborie, Bukovo, Krasnopolye, Mezhno, Yankovichi, Selyavshchina, and Klyastitsy. One part of the route is proposed to be covered by bicycle, and another by kayak. The entire journey can be completed in a week, with overnight stays in tents that can be set up at designated campsites along the route.
During the journey along the "Blue Necklace of Rossony," tourists will recall the Battle of Klyastitsy, where the first victory over Napoleon's troops was won, see a partisan dugout where Pyotr Masherov once fought, and also visit two republican landscape reserves - "Sinsha" and "Krasny Bor." In addition, various ornithological programs and eco-trails are provided. In the future, the first agro-tourism resort in Belarus will appear in the Rossony district. -0-
