If the newlyweds do not go to the registry office, then registry office employees in the Vitebsk region can come to them themselves

March 9, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. If young people do not come to the Civil Registry Office, then, at their request, Civil Registry Office employees can now come to them. Civil Registry Offices of the Vitebsk region are introducing a new type of service - wedding registration with departure to the celebration venue, the main department of justice of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Since this year, Civil Registry Office employees can conduct the ceremony both at the young couple's home and at a picturesque or historical place chosen by the bride and groom. In addition, Civil Registry Offices of city and district administrations are increasingly offering young couples non-traditional venues for marriage registration themselves. For example, in Vitebsk, the wedding ceremony is conducted by the center of folk culture and crafts "Zadvine", in Polotsk, you can become husband and wife within the walls of the St. Sophia Cathedral, and after the ceremony, together with guests, take an excursion through the famous temple and listen to the magnificent organ. The Museum of Weaving, another branch of the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, also invites for registration. In Braslav and Gorodok, the doors of the House of Culture are opened for young people, in Dokshitsy - the Museum of Folk Glory, and in Lepel - the House of Crafts. Even if the ceremony takes place within the walls of the Civil Registry Office, its employees are always ready to bring something new to it and meet the young couple's desire to make it unique. Thus, the Polotsk City Civil Registry Office held a "noble wedding" and even a "knightly wedding", at which the newlyweds and their guests were in medieval costumes. According to the main department of justice of the regional executive committee, in 2009, 9,793 marriages were registered in the region, and in 2008 - 9,615. Along with the increase in the number of marriages, the Civil Registry Offices noted an increase in the number of festive ceremonies associated with silver, gold, pearl, and sometimes even rose weddings. If in 2008, 261 such anniversaries were celebrated, then in 2009 - 290. -0-
