European experts note the high technological equipment and professionalism of the staff at OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant", Director of the public organization LST Sert, a certification body accredited by the National Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania, EU authorized Stasys Brentsius told reporters today. This EU audit company conducted the certification of OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant" for compliance with LST EN ISO 22000:2005 and LST EN ISO 9001:2008 standards, BELTA correspondent reports. As the expert noted, obtaining a European quality and safety certificate is not easy, as the requirements are quite high. However, in the case of the Belarusian enterprise, this procedure was easier because the plant has modern equipment, well-trained staff, and has undergone certification for compliance with ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 standards by Belarusian standardization bodies. As Stasys Brentsius admitted to journalists, he tried Belarusian products and liked them. At the same time, OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant" will confirm the quality of its products annually, as these are the rules for certification in the EU, the auditor explained. Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant was established in 1964. The enterprise was incorporated in 1999. The plant specializes in the production of hard rennet cheeses. The share of fatty cheeses in the total production volume is over 60%. For 10 months of the current year, products worth Br47.4 billion were produced, which is 16.3% more compared to the same period last year. The volume of consumer goods production increased by 32.4% and amounted to Br38.1 billion. -0-
