European and American experts will discuss the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Vitebsk
The X International Scientific and Practical Conference "Arterial Hypertension and Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases" will be held at Vitebsk State Medical University on May 30-31, the university reported.
It is expected that representatives of the International Society of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, the European Society of Hypertension, leading specialists in cardiology from Belarus, Russia, other CIS countries, as well as the USA, Canada, Sweden, Norway, and Lithuania will take part in the conference. "Currently, there are no unified approaches to managing patients with arterial hypertension among European and American specialists, so one of the priority tasks of the conference is to find a consensus on this issue and develop our own strategy," noted the Vitebsk Medical University. Scientific achievements in cardiology over recent years will be presented at the conference. An educational school for practicing physicians and a competition for young scientists, symposia on comorbid and cerebrovascular pathology, gerontology, and arrhythmology will also be held. The organizers of the forum expect that the event will allow doctors to acquire new knowledge in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular pathology, which will increase the effectiveness of medical and preventive measures and help reduce mortality from cardiovascular diseases.
